Here’s what some of our CASI Connect participants have to say about the program…

“I really enjoyed the opportunity to ask my mentor the questions I had prepared. He was gracious with his time and generous with his insights. We were also able to discuss current topics in the Canadian Aviation Industry. I am very grateful to CASI for this introduction. It was an enriching experience for me.”

Alex L., Carleton University, 4th Year – Aerospace Engineering, expected graduation 2018.

“The feedback has been tremendous. My mentor and I discussed the advanced design group that he works with, how the design process works for his company, the partners they work with both within the company and outside the company, and the process of starting a career in that field. He also offered to connect with me in the future in case I have further questions about what they do. Thank you to CASI Connect for this unique opportunity.”

Mitchell S., Master’s of Applied Science in Aerospace Engineering, Computational Aerodynamics 2016-18, University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies.

“My mentor called me this morning. It was very interesting and enlightening. Thank you very much for this opportunity. We talked about synthetic aperture radar, its applications, the various specialties in that domain (notably the difference between hardware design, applications research and data analysis). I also asked whether I should focus in a specific field, like antenna design, or go more broad, and I got the answer I was looking for, so that’s great. It was a very interesting chat, totally worthwhile and I know a lot more about where I want to orient my studies.”

Jean-Sébastien D. 2nd year Electrical Engineering student in Telecom (RF/microwave) who will be graduating in 2019 from l’École de technologie supérieure, before continuing with his master’s degree.

“I am grateful to have this opportunity to meet and now also be able to contact Mr. M. in the future. I wanted to thank you too for finding such a great match. I was hoping to speak with somebody with this type of expertise, and you did even better and found someone who started their own related entrepreneurial venture.”

Kunu M., 2nd year Masters of Aerospace Engineering, Expected Graduation May 2018 from Concordia University.
