CAE is one of the cornerstones of the Canadian aviation industry. Established in 1947 in Montreal, and developing its first flight simulator for the RCAF’s CF-100 in 1952, CAE now has manufacturing operations and training facilities in 35 countries. CAE sells flight simulators and training devices to airlines, aircraft manufacturers, and training centres. The equipment ranges from basic training devices to full-motion products. CAE also conducts airline and business jet pilot training in its 50 training centres worldwide. The military training business includes the NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC) program for the RCAF and its allies.
