Constituent SocietiesCanadian Navigation SocietyThe Canadian Navigation Society (CNS) in a constituent society of the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute. Under the CASI parent organization, its purpose is to serve the related technology of navigation. The CNS has played an important role within the Canadian navigation community in the past, but with the advent of GPS there are relatively fewer members involved with this technology directly. The Society is seeking ways to broaden its mandate to continue to provide a meaningful technical focus and means for the dissemination of navigation and related technology information through national symposia and the publication of papers in the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Journal.
