The conference ran between May 5th to the 7th, 2009, and featured five symposia (see below). Special events included a Welcome Reception at the Brookstreet hotel on Tuesday evening, a Reception and Senior Awards Gala Dinner at the Canada Aviation Museum on Wednesday evening, and a Turnbull Luncheon on Thursday with special guest speaker Bjarni Tryggvason - Astronaut and Pilot, who presented, "Flight: Fast and Hight, Low and Slow".
Other special guests included: Nashed Youssef (P&WC) as our CASI President for a second term, Fred Habashi - President, CFDSC, Antony Jameson - Professor of Engineering, Stanford University, Cord-Christian Rossow - Head, Institute of Aerodynamics and Flow Technology, DLR, Fassi Kafyeke - Director Strategic Technology, Bombardier Aerospace, Claude Lajeunesse - CEO, AIAC, Hany Moustapha - Senior Fellow and Manager Technology Programs, P&WC, and Jim Henry - VP Technology Development, Standard Aero.
